Tournament - PGA of Australia

Overview

The Victorian PGA Championship will be contested at the Moonah Links Resort across both the Legends and Open course from 16 – 19 November 2023.

Victorian PGA Championship is one of the oldest Tournaments in Australian golf.  PGA Professionals have competed across the state for the chance to add their name to the Jack Harris trophy since 1922

This trophy carries the names of many of Australia’s leading PGA Professionals including Peter Thomson, Ossie Pickworth, Peter Senior, Stuart Appleby and Marc Leishman.

The 2023 Victorian PGA Championship will once again be played in a Pro-Amateur format, following in the footsteps of some of the most iconic Tournaments from around the World like the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour and the Dunhill Links Championship on the European Tour.

Amateurs will be paired with a PGA Professional and they will compete as a team in the Victorian Celebrity Amateur Challenge.  The event is a Best Ball Nett Stroke event with a 36 hole cut (top 24 teams) and a 54 hole cut (top 8 teams).  This event will be played across both the Legends and Open course at the Moonah Links Resort and amateur will also enjoy a number of functions including exclusive access to the Players Lounge throughout the Tournament.
