With rounds of 51, 50 and 49, the Wentworth Golf Club were aclass above the field running away with a four shot victory in the mixeddivision.
"It was a pretty nervous start to the round today, but towardsthe end of the round and we did it tough to get the required tee shots away,but we got the job done." said Wentworth PGA Professional, Todd Brakenridge
"Over the three days it was a real team effort, we didn’t haveany single player the outplayed the rest, it certainly was a team effort. Wejust managed to hole some great putts which is vital in this format."
"It was a massive help by our Touring Professional, ScottLaycock. It was a real buzz playing with him, I am sure the guys enjoyedplaying with him and it is a lifetime memory for sure."
In the 25th anniversary year of the Holden Scramble, the win wasthat little more special for the team who have travelled from Orange in NewSouth Wales.
"We are thrilled to win the Championship Final, particularly inthe 25th year. It’s nice to come from a country area in New South Wales andclaim the victory."
Lead by PGA Professional Chris Duke, the Balaklava Golf Clubfrom South Australia claimed the women’s section of the Holden ScrambleChampionship Final.
The team could not have thought in their wildest dreams thatthey would be national champions when they entered their local event in back inJuly.
"Never in a million years, we are just so lucky to be here andare so greatful to the Holden Scramble. It has allowed us as amateurs to be inthis position today." said the representatives from the team
"We have been a fantastic combination for this format, and wehave enjoyed the course and every minute of the event, with some great time onthe course and off."

The PGA Touring Professionals who joined the Holden ScrambleChampionship final today will now make their way south for the 2016 AustralianPGA Championship at RACV Royal Pines Resort.
The Sunshine Coast has become synonymous with the Holden Scramble afterstaging 19 of the 25 Finals. It was been a massive year for the Holden Scramblecelebrating the 25th anniversary, 1 millionth participant and the 25,000thwomen’s participant.
The Holden Scramble will be back in 2017, and will be on thehunt for our next champions.
