Riding a wave of momentum, Peter Uihlein consolidated hislead at the ISPS HANDA Perth International today.

"PeterHaving fired 7-under 65 yesterday, Uihlein was happy to be back in action again early this morning.

Today he once again fought the wind to fire 4-under 68 taking him to 11-under after the opening two rounds of the ISPS HANDA Perth International.

"I didn’t really feel like I slept much.  I felt like I just came out here and talked to y’all," said Uihlein following his round which he closed with back-to-back birdies.

"It’s one of those things, you wake up hoping in the morning it’s going to be calmer, but like we knew the forecast was going to be windy this morning, I was prepared for it."

"I always like playing late/early, because you feel like you’re just going, especially if you play well, you’re still going."

"You don’t really feel like anything changes.  You’re not waiting around."

While Uihlein might have been playing some excellent golf, his playing partner Victor Dubuisson is certain to miss the cut.

"You can never tell with Victor, can you, he’s like the Mona Lisa, you never really know what’s going on," joked Uihlein.

"He’s a great player.  You never know with him, he could win Doral next week by ten, he’s that good."

"He wasn’t really out there giving up that’s for sure.  He was still grinding, so it’s always good to see."  "Perth

With his attention now focused on the weekend, Uihlein will take it easy this afternoon to conserve his energy with temperature set to soar in Perth tomorrow.

"I’ll take a nap and do a little light gym, just have a relaxing evening and sleep in."

"It was an early alarm this morning I think for everybody.  I’ll just relax and just get my mind off golf," added Uihlein who is looking forward to trying to close out the ISPS HANDA Perth International this weekend.

"I’m excited, really.  I think that’s what everybody plays for is to have a chance on the weekend really to see what you can do."

"I’ve said it, I really like this place and I like the course.  We’ll see how it goes on the weekend for sure."
