After bad weather washed out the Kresta Blackheath Legends Pro-Am earlier in the year the Legends return to Blackheath GC determined to play out the title.
However, the weather had other ideas and rain threatened to washout the tournament for the second time.
Playing in the morning field, Bryan Wearne made the most of the nice conditions to shoot 3-under 66.
With the afternoon field facing lengthy weather delays, Wearne hoped it would be good enough to see him walk away with his second victory of the week.
“It was lovely early on and the course was in perfect condition to score. The bad weather hit us on the last couple of holes and I just hoped we could get through the day,” said Wearne.
The afternoon players did manage to get out on course with Glenn Joyner, Tim Elliott and Michael Holden all equalling Wearne to tie for the win.
Rounding out the top-5 and a shot back from the leaders were David Hill and Craig Warren on 2-under 67.
The Ladbrokes Legends Tour moves to Roseville on Friday.
