Terry Price has won the Australian Valve Group Legends Pro-Am at Gardiners Run Golf Course in Lilydale in the second-last event of the Victorian swing on the Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour.
Firing a standout 7-under 65 in the afternoon field Price’s round included eight birdies and just one bogey on the par-4 6th hole.
Alongside Price 64 senior professionals including Peter Lonard, Peter Fowler and Mike Harwood were vying for their share of the $17,500 prize purse.
Twenty players joined 60 Gardiners Run members for the morning shot gun start and it was Eagle Ridge winner Richard Gilkey who set the pace with a 2-under 70.
A round including four birdies and two bogeys had him staring down his second win on the Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour, however a stellar afternoon field moved the score lower.
Mike Harwood continued his fine form to record a score of 6-under 66 to place second, with Peter Lonard and Simon Jagot a shot back on 67.
Peter Fowler completed his round a further shot back in fifth place on 4-under the card.
The Australian Valve Group Legends Pro-Am was voted Victorian Legends event of the year in 2018 and following yet another amazing event in 2019 players expect it will be a front runner once again.
The Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour now moves on to Mandalay Golf Course in Beveridge for the Club Mandalay Legends Pro-Am.
