The NSW/ACT PGA Annual State Meeting was held Thursday 17 May at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club with 90 PGA Members attending.
Updates on the PGA from the past year were presented by Peter Van Wegan, Gavin Kirkman and David Barker.
Ongoing Committee Members were confirmed with Ken Druce and Khan Pullen being elected unopposed. Gavin addressed the Membership on the Strategic Plan, new Management Structure, Member Services, business model, marketing and communication as well as Tournament updates nationally and internationally.
Recognition of this year’s 50 Year Members was presented with certificates and gift with a few being able to speak of their starting careers with the PGA.
From the ASM the NSW/ACT PGA Foursomes Championship was played with 80 Members aiming to have their name on the trophy. Sunshine and some challenging pin placements resulted with Jake Nagle and Martin Dive shooting 6-under 66 as the winning team.
A special moment for Jake is that he will now have his name engraved on the same trophy as his legendary grandfather Kel Nagle, who won in 1949. The Legends section was won by Michael Mosher and Phillip Baird with 4-over 76.
