Brad Doherty has fired a round of 5-under 66 to claim a one-shot victory in the Howeston Pro-Am and his third win on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

The 19-year-old endured a slow start to his round, recording bogeys on his opening two holes caused by three-putts.

This wasn’t going to deter the young professional, however, who recovered to make seven birdies across the next sixteen holes to close with 66.

“I’ve been playing well the last couple of months but haven’t been able to put it all together on the day,” said Doherty.

“I drove the ball perfectly out there; my mid-irons were solid finishing inside 10 feet most holes, which gave me a lot of birdies chances.

“Even though I had a couple of three-putts early in the round I also made a lot of putts coming in, which made all the difference.”

Consistent front-runners Deyen Lawson, Antonio Murdaca and Luke Paroz finished in a tie for second position after firing rounds of 4-under 67.

European Tour Professional Lawson continues his good form on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series with his equal second finish at Howeston.

“It’s my first time seeing the Howeston Golf Course so I didn’t know what to expect,” said Lawson.

“It an enjoyable course and was in fantastic condition for the event, credit must go to all involved.”

Lawson was not the only player to commend the stunning presentation of the Howeston Golf Course for the Howeston Pro-Am, with the Club are also celebrating their 40^th year of hosting events on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

Sanctuary Cove’s Cory Crawford rounds out the top-5 with a round of 3-under 68.

The next stop on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series Brisbane swing is Windaroo Lakes Golf Club for the Altitude Wealth Solutions Windaroo Pro-Am.
