Overnight leaders David Bransdon and Won Joon Lee headed to Millbrook Resort for the second round of the BMW New Zealand Open today.
Millbrook Resort has proven the greater challenge of the twocourses we are playing this week and this morning’s score again reflected thisfact.
David Bransdon played steady golf but took advantage of hisopportunities to shoot 2-under the card.
He now leads the BMW New Zealand Open by two shots, at11-under the card, from Won Joon Lee.
Lee was always going to find his round at Millbrook Resort achallenge. A luggage mix-up meant he didn’t receive his clubs in time to playthe layout.
However he was able to find enough birdies to counteract hisbogeys at the 6th, 9th and 11th holes.
With his even par round, Lee remains at 10-under the cardand is now outright second.
Also playing at Millbrook Resort Matthew Guyatt had 1-under71, however he was on track for a far lower round before a double bogey at the8th changed that.
With a two round total of 8-under the card Guyatt is tied 4thwith Kieran Pratt, who playing at The Hills, fired a 4-under 68 today.
The afternoon fields are now on course at Millbrook Resortand The Hills.
