Peter Senior is listed as an alternate for the second last full field event of the 2015 season, his chances of earning a 2016 card severely diminished if he fails to get into this week’s San Antonio Championship field.
Having lost full status last year, Senior needs to climb into the top-30 on this year’s money list to be a full time player again in 2016 but at 37th in the standings, he is more than $100,000 shy of what he needs.
After this week’s event in Texas only the Toshiba Classic in two weeks’ time remains before the limited field Charles Schwab Cup tournament is played the first week of November.
Senior has been a stalwart of the over 50s circuit since earning his card at the Q-School in 2010. He is the Tour’s highest earning player without a victory but has six second place finishes on his resume.
