After more than a month away from
competitive golf, Jason Scrivener will be looking to recapture some of his
early season form when he tees up at this week’s D&D Real Czech Masters.

The West Australian has endured a tough
stretch since earning his way into the BMW PGA Championship in May with six
consecutive missed cuts since.

However, Scrivener last played
competitively at the Scottish Open in June and with more than five weeks away
from the game will be fresh and ready to play when the gun goes off Thursday.

Scrivener is one of five Australians in the
field with most of the Tour’s biggest names electing not to tee up this week.

Also on hand at the Albatross Golf Resort
will be Brett Rumford, Daniel Gaunt, Terry PIlkadaris and Dimi Papadatos, the
latter three stepping up from the secondary Challenge Tour.

Gaunt is the only one of that quartet to
have previously played the tournament, a missed cut last year likely not a
forebearer of things to come this week.

Rumford is hovering dangerously close to
losing his card without a turnaround in form soon, the West Australian at 111^th
in the Race to Dubai with only the top-115 guaranteed a card for next season.

Having recovered from gastro surgery last
year when he had a bad reaction to eating an apple, Rumford started the season
strong but has waned in recent times.

He has missed five straight cuts leading
into the week and was knocked out in the first round of the Paul Lawrie
Matchplay two weeks ago but will be motivated to put that behind him this week.
