West Australian Jason Scrivener has re-earned his European
Tour card overnight in Spain at Qualifying School.

"Jason2015 has been a year of growth for Scrivener who was a
rookie on the European Tour after first earning status at last year’s
Qualifying School.

As is the way for many young rookies the first few months
are tough competing week-to-week in different foreign countries against some of
the best golfers in the world.

However Scrivener soon found his feet and recorded some
solid results in the back half of the European Tour season.

This was highlighted by his tied third finish at the Hong
Kong Open, the last event of the season.

However even that top finish was not enough to see him
retain his card and so a trip to Q-School this week ensued.

Scrivener put into play all he learned in his rookie year to
survive the gruelling six round challenge.

With rounds of 65, 72, 70, 71, 67, 71, Scrivener secured the
seventh card on offer which will provide him a busy schedule in his second year
on the European Tour, which will tee off at the season opening Australian PGA
Championship.

Scrivener was the only Aussie to earn a card for the 2016
season after Dimitrios Papadatos came heartbreakingly close to securing status
on the European Tour for the first time.

Papadatos looked set to earn his card and was inside the
top-25 qualifiers for most of the Qualifying School but disaster struck on the
very last hole of the 108 hole marathon, he made a triple bogey to miss his
card by one shot.

However Papadatos will earn status on the secondary,
European Challenge Tour and will also tee up in the European Tour’s season
opening Australian PGA Championship thanks to his full status on the PGA Tour
of Australasia.

Also missing out on cards were Nick Cullen, David Bransdon
and New Zealander Ryan Fox.
