Terry Pilkadaris was the stand out Australian at the Asian Tour’s Taiwan Masters when he was the lone Aussie to survive the cut.

Four Australians made the trip to Taiwan but Jake Higginbottom and Marcus Both were outside the qualifying number through 36 holes while Jason Norris, who is battling injury, retired after an opening round of 80.

Pilkadaris entered the weekend inside the top-15 at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club and remained T13 after Saturday’s third round.

But more difficult scoring conditions greeted the field on Sunday and after hanging tough to go to the turn even par things unravelled on the back half.

A bogey at the par-5 12^th followed by three straight dropped shots from the 16^th saw Pilkadaris slip down the standings and an eventual T23 finish.

Malaysia’s Gavin Green captured his first Asian Tour title at the event and after three runner-up results already in 2017 passed Scott Hend at the top of the Order of Merit.

Pilkadaris is in 44^th positon on the earnings table while Jake Higginbottom is now in a precarious position having slipped to 60^th with only the top-60 keeping their cards for next year.
