Terry Pilkadaris steps up to the main European Tour this week after receiving an invitation to the Lyoness Open in Austria.
The Victorian makes his sixth start
on the main tour for 2015 after some decent performances during the Asian swing
early in the year.
This will be his third appearance at the
Diamond Country Club where he missed the cut in 2013 but posted a top-20 finish
in 2010, a performance highlighted by an opening round 66 and a closing 67.
Pilkadaris is joined in the field by West
Australian Jason Scrivener who is in desperate need of a good week after trying
to find his feet in Europe in his rookie year.
Having survived the Qualifying School in
2014 the 26-year-old has had difficulty gaining momentum with only limited
starts available but will still be disappointed with making only three cuts in
eight starts.
A double bogey at the par-5 18th
in his second round last week cost him a place in the weekend field in Sweden
but there were some encouraging signs over the first two days and he will enter
the week with some confidence.
Pilkadaris and Scrivener are the only two
Australians teeing up in Austria.
