In collaboration between the PGA and Golf Australia, together with ISPS-Handa, a number of PGA Professionals will be able to provide better support to those with a disability after undertaking blind and disabled golf coach training and accreditation at the Grange Golf Club.

Delivered by PGA Member, Christian Hamilton, who has established himself as a leader in providing playing opportunities for people living with a physical or neurological disability, provided a range of theoretical and practical information over two-days of training.

The in-depth training provided participants with an understanding of the framework of disability golf in Australia, how PGA Professionals fit into the disabled golf landscape, attributes required of an effective inclusive coach, required features of an inclusive facility, learning strategies and specialised club-fitting.

The session, which is made available to PGA Professionals via the PGA’s ACE Program, saw 25 PGA Professionals along with 20 blind and disabled golfers participate.
