A strong
finish in his final round will give Craig Parry some confidence in coming weeks
as he battles to retain his playing card for the over 50’s Tour in America.
Playing his
rookie season on the PGA Tour Champions Parry has struggled to find consistent
form and the trend continued in Canada this week.
Opening
with scores of 75-73 to be well down the leaderboard, Parry found something in
his game Sunday when he signed for a 3-under 68.
With five
birdies in his last six holes Parry raced to the finish line and while it
wasn’t enough to lift him out of the bottom third on the leaderboard it will
have given him a much needed confidence boost.
Parry has
just four events to move up more than 60 places on the Charles Schwab Cup standings
and while it is a mammoth task he is a proven performer at the top level.
