Peter O’Malley and Mike Harwood will be looking to attend to unfinished business at this week’s Paris Legends event being staged at the 2018 Ryder Cup venue, Le Golf National.
The course played tough at last year’s event but both European Senior Tour regulars will be stung by enduring multiple double bogeys over the 54 holes.
Professionals at every level hate dropping multiple shots on any hole and pride will likely be a driving factor for both O’Malley and Harwood when play gets underway this week.
Even Australia’s top finisher last year, Peter Fowler, had a double on his card in round one though recovered nicely on his way to a T6 finish.
Fowler is once again the standout Australian on the over 50’s circuit in Europe and currently lies fourth on the 2017 Order of Merit.
He has finished in the top five at each of his last three starts including a runner-up result at the Italian Senior Open two weeks ago.
Fowler will again be among the favourites this week though big hitting American crowd favourite John Daly will likely grab the bulk of fan and media attention.
