The NZ PGA Championship has brought Professional golf to Auckland for the first time in more than nine years.

"RemueraThe tournament has teed off in calm conditions at Remuera
Golf Club which should ensure some low numbers are posted this morning.

Out in the morning field Ryan Fox is sure to attract a big
following. A local to Auckland he is also the info Kiwi coming into the
tournament.

However there are plenty other New Zealand favourites to
watch this morning as well including Gareth Paddison, Josh Geary, Mark Brown as
well as rising stars Nick Gillespie and Ben Campbell.

The Australians will fly under the radar this week but sure
to push their way into the limelight are Nick Cullen the Australian Masters
Champion, Dimitrios Papadatos and Jake Higginbottom who are previous champions
of the New Zealand Open.
