Harrison Endycott will now set his sights on qualifying for the Web.com Tour after falling short in his bid to move inside the top 10 on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Order of Merit.

""Prior to the Diners Club Peru Open the Sydneysider sat 14th on the moneylist and needing a good result to advance his position to inside the top 10, status that would have earned him direct passage into Web.com Tour Final Qualifying in Arizona from December 6.

Two-under through the first 36 holes in Lima with consecutive rounds of 71, Endycott’s final round of 4-under 68 moved him up 16 places on Sunday but only into a tie for 27th, well short of the mark he needed to reach to avoid Second Stage of Web.com Tour Q School.

With American Harry Higgs recording his first victory of the year and moving from 18th to fifth on the Order of Merit, Endycott was relegated one spot to 15th with three events still remaining.

The 22-year-old will now set his sights on a strong showing in Web.com Tour Second Stage at Bear Creek Golf Club in California from October 30 where he will be among a host of Aussies hoping to secure a place in Final Stage and status on the primary PGA Tour pathway for 2019.

Should he fail to get through Second Stage, Endycott will then have to consider whether to return to South America for the final three events in the hope of finishing the year among the top five players on the Order of Merit who earn Web.com cards.

Ryan Ruffels was the only other Australian taking part in Peru but rounds of 75-77 meant that he missed the cut.
