Jarrod Lyle will skip the rest of the 2015 season to try to get his game back in shape.
Lyle revealed to AAP’s Ben Everill after
missing the 54-hole cut at the Crowne Plaza Invitational that while his health
is good after beating cancer for a second time his game isn’t currently up to
the rigors of the PGA TOUR.
"I need to stress that this decision
has nothing to do with my recent illness – I am still healthy and
cancer-free," said Lyle.
"Unfortunately I haven’t been in real
contention in any of the 10 events I have played so far this season. At the
moment, I am out here making up the numbers."
Lyle will return to Australia to work on
his game before heading back to the US for the start of the 2015/16 season
