Amateur Curtis Luck has upstaged his Professional
competitors to win the Nexus Risk TSA Group WA Open in convincing fashion.

"CurtisStarting the round with a three shot lead, Luck opened with a bogey on a hole he feels is in between clubs for him.

However this didn’t rattle the young West Australian who went onto fire 2-under 68 to claim the win by two shots from fellow amateur Travis Smyth who fired a final round 7-under the card.

South Australian rookie Professional Antonio Murdaca, battled
it out in the final group with Luck, finished the leading Professional on 16-under
264 and will claim the first place prize cheque.

This win is redemption for Luck who finished runner-up at the WA Open last year after giving up his lead on the back-9.

Luck has won the WA Open 25 years after Stephen Leaney also claimed the title as an amateur with Oliver Goss also achieving the feat in 2012.
