Terry Pilkadaris has everything to play for at this week’s Bank of Oman Classic on the Challenge Tour, with only the top 45 money earners at the end of the week eligible for the Tour’s Grand Final next week.
The West Australian currently holds the final place on the list and needs a good result this week not only to qualify for next week’s tournament but also to maintain full playing rights on the tour for 2015.
The top 15 on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit earn promotion to the main tour while the top 45 retain playing rights for the following season.
Pilkadaris is one of four Australians in this week’s tournament with little known Peter Stojanovski and Jay Townsend earning invites alongside Tour regular Scott Arnold.
Arnold sits 80th on the Order of Merit and is unlikely to play his way into the top 45 meaning a trip to Q-School is likely at the end of the year.
