After an uncharacteristically poor start to the Japan Tour season Brad Kennedy found something in his game to not only make the cut but finish top-10 at The Crowns tournament.
One of Australia’s most consistent performers in Japan in recent years, Kennedy had missed his first two cuts of the 2017 season with some poor golf but turned things around this week.
A two time winner on the Tour, Kennedy had failed to break 70 in 2017 but ended that streak with a second round 69 at the Nagoya Club.
He added scores of 66-67 over the weekend to improve his position on the leaderboard each day and eventually finished T9.
Brendan Jones was next best of the Australians at T24 with a 3-under total while Adam Bland was even par and T40.
Todd Sinnott and Kurt Barnes were T45 at 1-over with Matt Griffin the last of the Australians to make the cut and finishing 2-over and 51st on his own.
Won Joon Lee was the lone Australian to miss the weekend, a second round 68 leaving him one shot short after a disappointing opening 76.
