The Victorian finished joint runner-up last year and while this week’s T18 result wasn’t quite as impressive his final round 67, equal second best score of the day.
Having started the final round in a share of 40th place Harwood’s solid play over the final 18 jumped him 22 places up the leaderboard and added € 9,353 to his year’s earnings.
Perennial contender Peter Fowler was next best of the Australians in T34 followed by Terry Price (T48) and Noel Ratcliffe (58th).
Qualifying school graduate Glenn Joyner, playing his first Senior Tour event, Struggled in the first two rounds with scores of 80-74 but found form on the final day to shoot 68 and finish T55.
