PGA Tour of Australasia regular Josh Geary will be looking to go back to back when he lines up in the second event of the PGA TOUR China series this week.
Geary claimed the opening event of the season in fine style in early April, his two shot win seeing him to the top of the Order of Merit and a good chance to earn one of five Web.com Tour cards at the end of the season.
The Eternal Courtyard Open will be played at the Henan Province St. Andrew Golf Club Course, site of the Jianye Tianzhu Henan Open last year which saw a number of this year’s field take part.
Bryden Macpherson, Michael Choi and Brett Drewitt shared top Australian honours last year at T4 but both Drewitt and Macpherson have graduated to the Web.com Tour while Choi is not playing this year.
There will be 26 Australians and four New Zealanders teeing up this week as players from this pat of the world try to capitalise on the chance to earn Web.com Tour status.
Returning after a T16 finish last year is Aaron Townsend while former PGA TOUR player David Lutterus will also be expected to do well.
Ray Beaufils was a consistent performer in the China Tour’s inaugural year in 2014 and with more knowledge of the courses and culture in 2015 will be a player to watch.
The tournament begins Thursday with scores and news available at www.pgatour.com/pga-tour-china.html
