New Zealand’s Josh Geary has blitzed the field to claim a seven shot victory at the fourth event of the China Golf Tour’s 2017 season.

""Geary, a regular on the PGA Tour China before the circuit was taken over by the local China Golf Association this year, is now a four-time winner on the Tour, this his second victory at the Yulongwan Yunnan Open where he was also triumphant in 2015.

The PGA Tour of Australasia regular was sublime all week at the Yulongwan Golf Club, scores of 66-63-66-64 seeing him to a 25-under-par total.

He began the final round four ahead of the same player he beat in 2015, Thailanld’s Gunn Charoenkul, and extended the advantage to seven by day’s end courtesy of seven birdies and no dropped shots.

Fellow China Tour regular Bryden Macpherson continued his consistent form with a T6 finish to remain second on the Order of Merit while Maverick Antcliff also finished in the top 10.

A total of 11 Australasians made the cut in the tournament, New Zealand’s Matthew Perry finishing T13 and Kevin Yuan T20.

Another New Zealander, Daniel Pearce, was T27, Peter Martin T39 with Corey Hale and the last of the New Zealanders to make the cut, Fraser Wilkin, T52.

Mitchell Brown rounded out the Australasians to play the weekend and finished T71 for the week.

Daniel Nisbet and Jichul Jung were the Australians who failed to qualify or the weekend.
