Marcus Fraser has capped an excellent 2015 on the European Tour with a solid week of golf at the season ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

"MarcusAfter an injury disrupted 2014 Fraser, one of two Australians to make it all the way to the season finale, was back to his consistent best in 2015 to be the highest money earner among the five Australians who play Europe full time.

An opening 66 at the Earth Course of the Jumeriah Estates had the 37-year-old sharing the lead after 18 holes and while he lost some momentum with closing rounds of 72-74-71 was able to hang on to T34 and a €57,555 pay day.

Fraser finished the year with just over AU$1 million in prize money, almost AU$100,000 ahead of next best Scott Hend.

Hend was the other Australian in the field in Dubai but an opening day 77 ended his chances of contending for the title early.

While it was an ultimately disappointing week the for the big hitting Queenslander the same can’t be said of his rookie year in Europe.

There was some inconsistent play from Hend at times during the year but his good golf is the equal of almost any player in the world and he produced plenty of it in 2015.

To be 56th on the money list on the world’s second biggest circuit without notching a victory is testament to the quality of Hend’s game and will give him plenty of confidence heading to season 2016.
