Five top-10 finishes in a rookie season is impressive enough but to achieve three of them in the richest events on the schedule is a feather in the cap of New Zealand’s Ryan Fox.

The long hitting 30-year-old has proved himself somewhat of a specialist in the lucrative Rolex Series of tournaments launched on the European Tour this season with two top-5s and one top-10 result so far.

This week’s Turkish Airlines Open is the sixth of eight events in the series and Fox will be keen to reproduce his form of mid-year when he finished sixth, T4 and T4 in consecutive weeks to cash almost €700,000 in less than a month.

The Turkish event is the first of three which culminates in the season ending DP World Tour Championship and the awarding of season ending bonus money to the Tour’s leading players.

Fox is one of five Australasian starters at the event, all hoping to play their way to the final tournament by being in the top-60 at the end of next week.

Fraser is the only one of the five currently outside that number with Fox 26^th, Hend 37^th, Dodt 35^th and Brazel 57^th. Fraser is 79^th entering the week.

Only Fraser and Scott Hend have teed up in this event previously, neither managing better than a T25 finish to date.

Fox, Hend and Dodt have all made the trip from the WGC event in China to be part of the tournament while Fraser and Brazel will both be fresh after a week off.

Fraser comes into the week off his best finish of the season, a fifth place result at the Italian Open, though the course in Turkey likely won’t suit his game as well as the one in Milan.
