"AronWith the Oates Vic Open wrapping up yesterday following a thrilling playoff where Michael Long prevailed, it’s a fast turnaround for players to get ready to tee off in the second tournament of the year tomorrow.

However this means that in form players will be able to ride the momentum wave again this week.

This is the second time the PGA Tour of Australasia has teed it up on the Huntingdale layout in the past three months after the UNIQLO Masters was played here in November 2015.

While players are chasing a the winner’s prize cheque and Official World Golf Ranking points there are also places into the Perth International on offer.

Rather than hosting a pre-qualifying tournament for the co-sanctioned European Tour event the top-four money earners, not already exempt, following this week claiming the places.

Players we think you should be watching this week are:

Matthew Millar: We could put Matt in our top-5 players to watch every week given how consistent he has been playing over the last year. He has recorded 12 top-10 finishes with just under half of those being runner-up places including one last week. In 2015 two tournaments were played at Huntingdale,
the Vic PGA and the Aussie Masters, Matt finished 7thand T6 respectively. Given his form it would be hard not to see him contending this week.

Aron Price: Playing some excellent golf at the Vic Open last week, his second event of the year, Aron was in amongst the leaders all week. He eventually finished tied third, just two shots out of the playoff. Aron has had some good results on challenging golf courses and in tough conditions. Last year
he had a runner-up finish to Matt Kuchar in gale force winds at the Fiji International then a T8 at the Australian Open on the testing Australian Golf Club layout. A player of his calibre, you would expect to see him in the mix again this week.

David Bransdon: Standing on the 1st tee this week Dave will have good memories coming back of his first round in the Vic PGA last year. He fired 8-under 64 to set the course record at Huntingdale and take the round one lead, he then went onto finish tied 5th. Since then Dave has recorded a further three top-10
finishes including a victory at the Queensland Open.

Scott Strange: Playing his third tournament of the year Scott is well and truly back in competition mode. He finished tied third last week at the Vic Open and missed the playoff by two shots after playing good golf all week. Scott was also unlucky not to force a playoff last year for the Vic PGA. Playing
the final hole he has tied for the lead with champion Aaron Townsend, who holed one of the best ever bunkers shots for a birdie and the win.

Alistair Presnell: A regular on the Web.com Tour, Alistair is playing at home this week on a course that he is very familiar with. An extremely talented player we would expect to see him feature high up the leaderboard at the end of the tournament as he did at the Aussie Masters last year where he
finished T6.
