Peter Fowler has posted his sixth top-10 from 10 starts on the European Senior Tour with a T6 finish at the inaugural Paris Legends tournament in France.
Fowler, a five time winner on the over-50’s circuit, posted rounds of 70-69-71 at the Le Golf National course to be 3-under for the week and five behind winner Magnus Atlevi of Sweden.
Fowler recovered well from a poor Sunday start which saw him go the turn 2-over at the course which will host the 2018 Ryder Cup.
But he righted the ship on the back-9 with two birdies to square the ledger and ensure no over par rounds for the week.
Fellow Australians Mike Harwood and Peter O’Malley found the going tougher, Harwood finishing T20 at 2-over for the week and O’Malley T36 at 9-over.
The damage was done for O’Malley in round one when his week was spoiled by a 79.
