The Hauts de France Golf Open boasts one of the bigger purses of the season and with more money and points up for grabs a continuation of some good play by both last week would be most welcome.
Zunic, who posted his best finish of the season two weeks ago when T5 in Switzerland, started hot last week in Belgium before fading on Sunday.
The 25-year-old will be smarting from a final round performance which saw him drop from inside the top-10 to T32 and that should provide excellent motivation when play gets underway at the Aa-St Omer Golf Club in Lumbres.
Eccles, conversely, started slowly but finished strong in Belgium and after closing with rounds of 68-69 will feel on a bit of a roll.
The 22-year-old has been steady so far in his first full year on the Challenge Tour but needs some high finishes between now and the end of the season if he is to graduate to the main Tour.
Winner of the NSW Open while still an amateur in 2015, Eccles isn’t short on talent and his game has continued to mature since turning Professional in the wake of that victory.
Eccles and Zunic are joined in the field by Daniel Fox and Daniel Gaunt, both of whom need some rapid improvement as they currently sit outside the top-100 on the season long Road to Oman table.
