A week of consistent golf has seen Brett Drewitt improve his status on the Web.com Tour with a top 25 finish at the four round Q-School inFlorida.
Drewitt, who maintained limited status by finishing in the top 100 on the money list at the end of the 2015 season, will now have full privileges until the second re-shuffle of priority rankings after nine events of the new season.
Seven Australians teed up in the Qualifying School, which was reduced from six rounds to four for the first time, but Drewitt was the only one to finish inside the all important top 45.
Adam Crawford, Alistair Presnell, Rohan Blizard, Nick Cullen, Lincoln Tighe and Nick Flanagan all finished outside the number and will have only limited access to the Tour in 2016.
Presnell will be particularly disappointed after playing brilliantly for the first three rounds to be inside the top 10 heading to the final day but having a disastrous 8-over 79 on Sunday.
After a forgettable 2015, his worst season in America since first making his base there in 2009, the 36-year-old looked on track to regain full privileges before his Sunday struggles.
The capitulation was a shock as he had shown good form not only this week but also over the Australian summer.
Presnell finished T6 at his home club of Huntingdale at theMasters and T21 at the Australian Open.
The final standings for the Australians were: Brett Drewitt T21, Adam Crawford and Alistair Presnell T58, Rohan Blizard and Nick Cullen T93, Lincoln Tighe and Nick Flanagan T114.
