"MattAs the horn sounded to bring the players off the course, Queenslander
Jason Day and New South Welshman Matt Jones were on 9-under the card after 14
and 12 holes respectively.

Jones is looking comfortable at Whistling Straits finding
five birdies on course so far in the second round. He is yet to make a mistake
and is bogey free.

Day also looks solid in his round with just the one blemish
on his scorecard coming at the challenging par-4 9th and
counteracted by six birdies.

While his scorecard would show that he has capitalised on
his birdie opportunities, Day may feel he could be even lower after a few
birdie putts went begging.

Geoff Ogilvy is also yet to complete his second round due to
the suspension in play.

He is 4-over the card and will miss the cut which is
projected to be at 2-over the card, however will need to return tomorrow
morning, when the second round resumes at 7am local time, to complete his final
hole of the second round.

Playing in the morning field Australian rising star Cameron
Smith has continued to impress the world competing in just his second Major.

He fired a second round of 4-under 68 to jump up the
leaderboard and is currently T28 on 2-under the card heading into the weekend.

However for the remainder of the Australian contingent the
outcome doesn’t look as positive with all six of them looking likely to miss
the cut.

After a second round of 4-over the card John Senden
plummeted down the leaderboard and will likely miss the weekend at 3-over the
card.

Marc Leishman battled through a back injury today to fire
4-under 68 however the damage was done to his PGA Championship campaign in the
first round. His 79 on Thursday leaving him too much to overcome today and he likely
won’t play the weekend.

Steven Bowditch finished his tournament on 5-over the card
with Adam Scott a further two shots back.

The PGA Championship was the last time Scott would be able
to use the anchored putting stroke in a Major Championship yet this is the
first time the former Masters Champion has missed the cut in a Major since the
US Open in 2011.

While Matt Jones leads the tournament his brother Brett
Jones, who is a Club Professional in the US, is also competing in the PGA
Championship however finds himself at the other end of the leaderboard.

After rounds of 75 and 78 to be 9-over, Brett will have the
weekend off to see if his brother can win the PGA Championship.
