Nick Cullen has bolted home with a Sunday 66 to vault into the top-10 at the Challenge Tour’s D+D Real Czech Challenge.

""Starting the final round 14 shots behind 54-hole leader and eventual winner Julian Suri, Cullen produced the equal second best score of the day to jump up the standings while also being among the biggest movers in the season long Road to Oman.

The South Australian moved 78 places up that ranking to be 52nd with the goal to be inside the top-15 at season’s end and earn promotion to the main European Tour.

While Cullen was the biggest mover this week Victoria’s Ben Eccles remains the highest ranked Australian in the season long race after a T24 finish in the Czech Republic moved him to 40th.

Eccles headed to Sunday’s final round at the Golf & Spa Kunětická Hora course inside the top-10 but faltered with a 1-over 73 to drop down the standings, a disappointing finish to an otherwise good week.

The former NSW Open champion has shown flashes of his best golf in the first half of the year and while disappointed with his finish this week will take plenty of positives from the tournament.

Jordan Zunic was next best among the Australians, the 2015 ISPS HANDA New Zealand Open winner building on a solid performance from the previous week’s matchplay tournament to be T38.

Zunic will play a full schedule on Europe’s secondary Tour this year as he tries to earn a card on the European Tour.

Daniel Gaunt finished on the same score as Zunic while Ryan McCarthy was the only Australian to miss the cut.
