Buoyed by two victories at home already this year Dimi Papadatos tees off in this week’s Made in Denmark Challenge on the secondary European Tour with high hopes.

""The reigning Oates Vic Open and the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA champion plays his second Challenge Tour event of the season and told the Tour’s website he’s feeling good ahead of the rest of the year.

Papadatos was the subject of a lengthy feature story to preview the tournament where he said he felt conditions this week would likely suit him.

“I’ve turned my game around a fair bit,” he said.

“I changed coach at the start of the year and I’ve been working a bit harder.

“Last year I struggled a bit when I came over to Europe, I was playing badly and that inexperience wasn’t a good mix so I went back and reset and realised I needed to change a few things and it’s been working out so far.

“It was very windy at both the tournaments I won, especially at the first one in Victoria, so it wasn’t too different to what we’ll probably get this week in that regard.

“Ultimately, winning is winning, so I think that, although the fields are a bit stronger over here, I should hopefully be able to carry that on if I get it going.”

Papadatos is one of three Australians competing this week, Daniel Fox and Daniel Gaunt also in the field.

Ben Eccles and Jordan Zunic have elected to take the week off after both played heavy recent schedules, Eccles with six events in a row and Zunic five.
