Marcus Both has produced his best finish of the 2017 Asian Tour season with a final round 69 to jump more than 20 places on the leaderboard at the Yeangder TPC in Taiwan.

""Making just his seventh start of the year; Both began the final round in a share of 40th place but in difficult scoring conditions managed five birdies against two dropped shots to go from 1-over for the week to 2-under and T19.

After missing the cut in his last two starts it was a welcome result for Both though he remains outside the top-100 on the Order of Merit.

Both was the best of the Australians in the field and the only one to finish in red figures, NSW Open champion Adam Blyth next best at 1-over.

After an opening 77 Blyth played some superb golf to move from outside the top-100 through 18 holes to make the cut on the number.

His weekend rounds of 71-72 moved him more than 35 places up the standings to an eventual T29 result, two shots and 10 places higher on the leaderboard than Scott Barr.

Jason Norris got off to a great start with back-to-back rounds of 70 to be just outside the top-10 through 36 holes but struggled on Saturday with a disappointing 79.

At 4-under through the first three holes of his final round Norris looked on track to fight back but three bogeys and two doubles undid the hard work and he signed for a 74 and T55 result.

Jake Higginbottom was the last of the Australians in the field though did little to help his cause of remaining inside the top-60 on the Order of Merit with an 8-over-par performance.

Like Blyth he made the cut on the number after opening 75-71 but couldn’t make up ground at the weekend and with back to back 75’s finished T64 to fall to 65th on the Order of Merit.
