Rohan Blizard will be looking to bounce back from some disappointing play last week when the eighth event of PGA Tour China season kicks off this week.
Blizard, already a winner on the circuit this year, fell out of the all important top-5 on the Order of Merit with a T64 result last week.
Those in the top-5 at season’s end earn status on the Web.com Tour, Blizard now sitting sixth with six events to be played.
Playing his second year in China Blizard came close to graduating in 2015 when he finished seventh on the money list and is in good position to go one better this year.
Also in prime position to earn a spot in America is South Australia’s Max McCardle who holds down fourth spot in earnings after consistent year to date.
McCardle has four top-10 finishes in his seven starts to date and if he can continue his good play will get to test his game in the US in 2017.
There are 21 Australians listed in the field for the New Town King Run Open, among them last week’s top finisher Peter Cooke and Sydney’s Andrew Evans coming off his best result of the year, a T12.
Also teeing up are: Ray Beaufils, Taylor Cooper, Mitch Davis, Christopher Brown, James Gibellini, Alex Hawley, Peter Martin, Scott Laycock, David Lutterus, Jake Higginbottom, Daniel Nisbet, Lincoln Tighe, Kevin Yuan, Christopher Wood, Jake Stirling, Jack Munro and Michael Willis.
