Arnold stalking Tour card

With just three events left in the Challenge Tour season Scott Arnold knows the hard work begins this week in Ireland if he is to earn his way to the 2016 European Tour.

With just three events left in the Challenge Tour season Scott Arnold knows the hard work begins this week in Ireland if he is to earn his way to the 2016 European Tour.

Arnold currently sits 24th on
the Order of Merit but needs to be inside the top-15 at the conclusion of the
Golf Classic Grand Final in Oman in November if he is to play the main Tour
next year.

With €49,381 in earnings to date Arnold
likely needs another €25,000 to 30,000 to assure promotion and a top-5 finish
this week would go a long way towards securing that.

This will be the 29-year-old’s first
appearance at the Irish event and while he missed his first cut of the year
last week in Italy that performance is not a true indication of his current
form.

A win at the beginning of September has
Arnold playing with confidence and after an unsuccessful rookie season in
Europe in 2013 he will be keen to get back.

Arnold is the only Australian assured of a
start this week with Geoff Drakeford listed as an alternate.
