New South Wales amateur Troy Moses fired an exceptional second round 9-under 62 to lead the Nanshan NSW PGA Championship.
Starting the day at 4-under the card, Moses started the day with a birdie before adding a further seven to his card as well as an eagle.
"I just got the putter rolling, so I had a little belief and they just kept going in," said Moses.
"I missed a few short ones but that’s golf and I made up for it with some long ones."
It all seems easy when the putts are dropping and Moses enjoyed his day on course with Anthony Summers and Bronson La’Cassie.
"It’s good to see guys like that play," said Moses of his playing partners.
"Bronson is such a laid back guy, it’s good to learn from them and how they react."
Moses is happy to have found some form since missing the cut at the NSW Open Championship.
"I missed the cut at NSW Open and I haven’t played since then," added Moses.
"I played heaps of golf before the NSW Open, I think I was a little burnt out, so I have rested up, got the body ready and now ripping in."
His enthusiasm is infectious and he can’t wait for the weekend rounds.
"I have had a blast," added Moses.
"It’s a massive confidence boost and I just can’t wait to get into the next few days."
Also playing in the morning field, Peter Martin fired 7-under 64 to move up the leaderboard to second on the leaderboard at 10-under the card.
Rounding out the top-3 on the leaderboard at 8-under are Clint Rice, Luke Humphries, David Klein and Richie Gallichan.
Overnight leader Lincoln Tighe is on course and is 1-over after three holes.
