Qualifying School for the 2016 Asian Tour gets underway this week with 51 Australians among the 491 entrants for the first stage to be played across four venues in Thailand beginning today.
The 72-hole event will decide who gets to join 155 players already exempt to next week’s Final Stage and play for a spot on the 2016 Tour.
Queensland’s Michael Wright and NSW PGA winner Jarryd Felton are the two highest profile Australians in the field, Wright teeing up at Windsor Park GC while Felton is at Springfield Royal Country Club.
There are 10 Australians already qualified for next week’s Final Stage including rookie Professional Lucas Herbert.
He will be joined by Josh Younger, Jake Higginbottom, Rick Kulacz, Darren Beck, David Gleeson, Marcus Both, Daniel Fox, Kris Mueck and Lucas Herbert.
