Jake Stirling claimed top Australian honours at the AsianTour’s Panasonic Open in India, a 1-under total for the week a good effort on the intimidating, jungle lined fairways of Delhi Golf Club.

"JakeStirling returned rounds of 73-70-75-69 to be T28, his second best result in six starts on the Tour this year.

The 26-year-old Stirling has played the bulk of his golf on the Asian Development Tour in 2015 and with a win and several top 10 finishes lies seventh on the secondary tour’s order of Merit.

The top five will be promoted at the end of the season but if he can play his way into the top 60 on the main Tour earnings list, where he presently lies 96th, he would also graduate.

Only four of the eight Australians who teed up in India survived the 36-hole cut, Adam Groom next best after Stirling at T61 followed by Jarrod John Freeman (T66) and Jack Munro (68th).
