A blistering final round has seen Antonio Murdaca through to the final stage of European Tour qualifying school with Todd Sinnott and David Bransdon also booking places at Catalunya Resort in Spain next week.
The trio were among six Australians to tee up at second stage of Qualifying, Geoff Drakeford, Callan O’Reilly and Kristopher Mueck failing to advance.
Murdaca began the final round at Panoramica resort in Spain outside the top-18 who would qualify but fired his best round of the week, a flawless 8-under-par 64, to climb to a share of 11th and advance to the final stage.
Bransdon finished 13th of 18 qualifiers at Las Colinas Country Club while Sinnott also finished T13 at Lumine Golf and Beach Club.
Four courses were used in various locations across Spain to host the second stage of qualifying with 267 golfers fighting for 72 places at the finale next week.
The final is a six round marathon where the top-25 and ties earn category 15 membership for the 2016 Tour.
In 2014 Andrew Dodt and Jason Scrivener both earned cards via the Q-School, Dodt going on to record a victory in Thailand and secure two more years of membership while Scrivener narrowly missed keeping his privileges via the top 115 on the Order of Merit.
