With Peter Senior officially calling time
on his international playing career Craig Parry will fly the Australian flag
alone for the remainder of the 2016 PGA TOUR Champions season.

"CraigSenior played his last event at the
American Family Insurance Championship at the end of June and is now back home
on the Gold Coast.

The 56-year-old has been beset by injuries
the past two years and, tired of the week to week travel of the Tour, made the
decision last month to hang up the sticks.

Senior says he will still play several pro-am
events in Australia as well as on the E-Z GO PGA Legends Tour and, if he feels
his game is up to it, some of the bigger ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of
Australasia tournaments.

His decision now means Craig Parry is the
only Australian with status on the American over-50’s circuit and he will fly
the flag this week at the 3M Championship in Minnesota.

Parry hasn’t produced his best golf since
joining the Champions Tour this year and will be keen to turn that around as he
is in danger of losing his playing rights for next year.

A best finish of T29 in 11 starts has him
languishing at 84th on the Charles Schwab Cup listings and he will
need to be inside the top-30 to retain status for 2017.

However, there are some big events
remaining ion the schedule, including the US Senior Open next week, and there
is no reason he can’t find form quickly.
