After posting one of the best scores of the final round at the Singapore Open last Sunday Q-School graduate Todd Sinnott will take plenty of confidence into this week’s Myanmar Open.
Only two players bettered the Victorian’s Sunday 68 and the 24-year-old will be keen to build on a solid start to his international career having secured his card just two weeks ago.
One of the longest hitters in golf Sinnott’s game has matured over the past two years as he chased starts around the world and the opportunity to build a secure schedule could well be the key to taking the next step.
Joining Sinnott in Myanmar are fellow Q-School graduate Jake Higginbottom and Asian Tour veterans Scot Barr, who has secured a tournament invite, and Terry Pilkadaris.
With the event also being co-sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour two Australians from that circuit have also made the trip with Adam Bland and Matt Griffin listed in the field.
Both Bland and Griffin played in Singapore, another co-sanctioned tournament, and both will be looking to improve on their performance after missing the cut.
Marcus Both, another Australian who has played long term in Asia, is listed as a reserve for the event after securing one of the last cards at Q-School a fortnight ago.
