Having earned back his Asian Tour card with a T5 finish at Q-School Jake Higginbottom will be looking to build on a decent start to the season at this week’s Yeangder Heritage in Chinese Taipei.
Higginbottom, one of the most promising young players to come out of Australia in recent times, struggled with his game in 2016 but currently sits 35th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and in good shape to retain his card for next season.
He is one of three Australians teeing up in this week’s event with Terry Pilkadaris and Marcus Both also in the field.
Pilkadaris is playing his seventh Asian Tour event of 2017 but despite making four cuts hasn’t finished better than T34 and sits 48th on the earnings table.
Both is teeing up for the first time in 2017 having lost his card at the end of last year.
