Zunic to build on good start

Two time ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia winner Jordan Zunic will be keen to build on his brilliant finish last week as he takes aim at the top-15 on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit in 2017.

Two time ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia winner Jordan Zunic will be keen to build on his brilliant finish last week as he takes aim at the top-15 on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit in 2017.

""The Wollongong native jumped more than 50 places to 35th on the season long Road to Oman rankings after finishing T5 last week and if he can climb inside the top-15 by season’s end will earn himself a card to the main European Tour.

The Tour moves to Belgium this week for the KPMG Trophy where Zunic will be one of four Australians to take his place in the field at the Royal Waterloo Golf Club.

Daniel Fox, Daniel Gaunt and Ben Eccles have also made the trip to Belgium, each playing the event for the first time.

Eccles is next best on the Road to Oman standings at 50th, the young Victorian tackling his first full year on the secondary tour as he, too, attempts to earn a European Tour card.

He comes to the week off just his second missed cut of the season at last week’s tournament in Switzerland though has played consistent golf for much of the year.

Daniel Gaunt is teeing up for just the fourth time in 2017 where he has missed two cuts to date while Daniel Fox makes his second start for the season after a T64 finish at the European Tour co-sanctioned Open de Portugal.
