Matthew Guyatt has shot a 6-under par 66 to claim the Altitude Wealth Solutions Windaroo Lakes Pro-Am.

The Queenslander’s round included birdies on the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 6^th 7^th and 8^th holes. A bogey on the 9^th hole momentarily slowed momentum but the front-9 was completed in 6-under par, 30.

The back-9 consisted of a bogey on the 16^th hole followed by a birdie on the 17^th hole to finish that nine even par.

“After rushing here from the coaching tee this morning, I got off to a slow start with two three putts in my first four holes,” said Guyatt.

“Once I settled down I started holding some putts.  I got on a roll and made seven birdies in eight holes.

“I haven’t played here since Windaroo last held the QLD Open back in the 90’s. It was great to play snake gully again all these years on, it’s brought back some memories."

The next best placed professional was Ryan Haller who finished two shot shy after firing a 4-under par 68.

The next stop on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series is the Victoria Park Golf Complex for the Victoria Park Pro-Am on Tuesday 12^th September.
