Wind and rain made for difficult scoring on day two of the Dutch Senior Masters, Peter O’Malley and Mike Harwood failing victim to the conditions after both made good starts.

O’Malley was fifth after the opening round and Harwood sixth after scores of even par and 1-over respectively but Saturday’s weather proved costly for both.

An 81 saw O’Malley slip to T29 while Harwood was two shots better but still fell to T24 as only two players in the field were in red figures through 36 holes.

The Dutch course, host of the recent KLM Open, proved a handful for the over-50 field with just four players finishing the tournament under par.

A final round 69 from O’Malley was one of the best scores Sunday to move him up nine places to T20, Harwood signing for a 1-over 72 to finish the week T25.
